Dream 5 Bedroom House Floor Plans

Whether your growing family needs more sleeping space or you want the versatility to host multiple guests during the holidays, a 5 bedroom house plan makes it all possible. Do you need simple secondary bedrooms for children or an elaborate guest suite for an in-law? How about all of the above? Many of the layouts in this collection spread out the bedrooms over two levels, often with a guest bedroom on the main level (sometimes the master suite too, which makes it easier to age in place later and provides greater privacy for the owners) and additional bedrooms upstairs.

Building on a lot that slopes? Some of the homes in this collection feature finished basements that provide sleeping space, recreational rooms, wet bars, and other versatile spaces that can be used by children or visitors. Grown-up children (say, a college grad who recently moved home) will also appreciate the extra elbow room of a layout with a finished basement.

Is your elderly parent likely to come live with you in the future? Make sure there’s enough space with a guest suite that enjoys (at minimum) easy access to a full bathroom. Some of the luxury homes in this collection give in-laws plenty of privacy with bigger suites or even private living rooms.

For families with young children, bedrooms that share Jack and Jill bathrooms (or simple hall bathrooms) present cost-efficient ways to trim costs. For older children or visitors, en suite bathrooms create a more luxurious experience.

Any style of home can include five bedrooms. Mediterranean and New American styles lend themselves especially well to more luxurious layouts, but a simple modern farmhouse or sleek contemporary design can also hold abundant bedrooms.

Need even more bedrooms? Choose a plan with an unfinished bonus room, which you can transform into a guest paradise or teen suite. Or consider adding onto your property with a tiny cottage that gives extra privacy to visitors.
