Founded by Jim Wells in 1987 to be a publishing and marketing firm representing designers, the business grew, more services were offered, and plans were added to the collection. Now the full service design firm provides 3D CAD custom home design, material lists, and plan revisions in addition to the extensive selection of house plans.

The collection's strength lies in affordable one-story homes. However, Jim has recently ventured with success into other areas, such as vacation homes and garages. His one-and-a-half and two-story homes have proven popular as well.
