Plan Description

With plenty of comfortable, bright rooms to gather in, this award-winning Craftsman design is perfectly suited for an active family, or anyone who likes space to entertain. Enjoy summer evenings from the wraparound porch or the covered patio out back. A side-entry garage and decorative shop bay enhance curb appeal. Near the front of the home, the formal dining room includes a vaulted ceiling and a view beyond the columned arches of the living room and fireplace. Head back to relax in the family room, which features a handsome fireplace and opens to the large island kitchen. The bayed breakfast nook on the other side of the kitchen enjoys French doors opening to a covered patio. Also on this level, a generously sized den/home office makes working from home more than comfortable. Or, use this bright space as a library, media room, or even for a home business. Upstairs, the grand master suite enjoys a walk-in closet, a bayed sitting area, and a private bath with a garden tub. A second stairway provides quiet access to the children’s bedrooms, where a connecting bath, guest suite with private bath, and a large vaulted bonus room, perfect as a playroom or home theater, await. The plan earned first place in the Published Designs category in the 2007 American Residential Design Awards.
